A Stylish White & Green Christmas

The countdown to Christmas has begun, so it’s time to set up your own show-stopping Christmas tree. Here are a few Christmas trees dressed with a selection of white, glass, silver and green decorations and baubles. I had great fun styling and setting up these shots for the Wyevale Garden Centre shoot, way back in May. We shot five different Christmas themes and below are some of my favourite shots from the day.

Pretty Pastels

Pastels are perfect right now and so on trend for spring and summer. Think sorbet ice-cream colours in pretty pinks, soft yellows with a zesty tone, mint greens and powder blues. These sherbet colours make you smile and  bring a feeling of instant happiness, you just can’t help to be sucked into their uplifting beauty and get inspired by an item or two. Whether it’s small little accessories like glasses or coasters, something larger or functional like a sofa or storage, there is something for everyone with this colour-led trend.

Green Vintage Glass – Friday Flowers

So I have to come clean, it’s always best to be honest and confess. I have a mild obsession with glassware, and as my friends will tell you, also the colour green. And although I absolutely love all colours, each holding something special for me, my absolute favourite has to be green. All shades of green, lime, moss, mint, sage, emerald, bottle-green, chartreuse – I adore them all.

So it was inevitable that I end up with a selection of vintage green stemmed glasses. Very few of them matching or in pairs, but to me that only adds to their charm.

Picking the last of the Spring blossoms was a joyful task, although also slightly sad, as I realised it will be another whole year before I can enjoy picking them again.

All to soon the table centre display was finished. The selection of odd vintage glasses, filled with white blossoms and  presented on a green glass tray, looked lovely on my dining table.

This whole look took me about 10 minutes to do, including picking flowers, cleaning and filling the glasses and then arranging them. If you want to recreate this, of course any other stemware glasses will look great too, play with different heights to add interest and keep your flower selection simple.
