Blue Atargatis Vase – Elemental by Voyage Maison

When I saw the new glass vase collection called, Elemental from Voyage Maison, I immediately fell in love with the Atargatis hand cut vase and bowl in lapis blue. I adore the ombre´ shading and the tactile matte outer finish, contrasting with the glossy inside of the bowl. The curves and matte texture reminds me of ‘sea glass’, where old pieces of glass are weathered by the motion of the sea and salt water before being washed up on the beach. Both sea glass and vase having this matte, rounded and opaque appearance. So its also very aptly named, Atargatis, being a mermaid-like Syrian goddess.

I have mentioned before my love for coloured glass and so I was very excited to try these gorgeous vases in my own humble abode, hoping that they would fit in here too. Here is the first of three posts showing the gorgeous new vase collection by Voyage Maison.

Photo Shoot Flowers – Friday Flowers

Feast your eyes on these gorgeous fresh country-look flowers. All of these pretty stems, I bought at my local florist. I have literally just plonked them in a jug, inside a crate on the floor, all because they are ready to be taken on an interiors photo shoot that I’m styling. I just could to resist letting them leave my house without taking a quick snap of them.

A Happy Bunch – Friday Flowers

Bright colours make me feel so happy inside and I think that is just one of the many reasons I love flowers so much. I would imagine this is the same for a lot of flower lovers. This simple arrangement includes only three types of flowers, all picked from my small garden. The deep blue-purple of the delphinium sets of the pinks in the dahlia and the hydrangea beautifully and arranged in the green vintage glass vase, one of my favourite vases, they look spectacular. Now these floral beauties take pride of place in my little girls room. (See more of her room in my next post. Subscribe now, not to miss out.)

As the week is drawing to a close and so is The Chelsea Flower Show, (arguably the most prestigious horticultural show in the world), it would be scandalous not to show you the marvellous flowers that was out on display in the Grand Pavillion. Feast your eyes on these beauties,  I had a tough job editing my photos, not to bore or overload you in the process. Here are some of the thousands of blooms out on display.

I can safely report, there is not a single blemish on any petals or leaves, truly remarkable. I Hope this has provided inspiration for us all to grow more lovely cut flowers to adorn our gardens and living spaces. In my eyes flowers are natures little pick-me-up tonics for us all to enjoy.
